What is a crane radio remote control?
A crane radio remote control replaces a tethered pendant, letting the operator drive the hoist and travel motions wirelessly and move out from under the load for a clearer view and safer positioning. Each kit pairs a handheld transmitter with a receiver wired to the crane or hoist contactors. The number of channels determines how many motions and auxiliary functions you can control — from a basic up/down and travel set through to multi-speed, twin-hoist and A/B tandem operation.
H-series (remote) vs R-series (receiver)
They're the two halves of a radio control system, not competing ranges. The H-series is the remote (transmitter) — the handset the operator holds — and steps up by button count for more motions and functions: H22 (compact) through to the 12-button H52 with A/B selection. The R-series is the receiver — the box mounted on the crane that switches the motions when the remote calls them — in 10-, 15- and 20-channel options (R10, R15, R20). A complete kit pairs an H-series remote with a matched R-series receiver and includes a spare remote; you can also buy a receiver box or a standalone remote on its own as a spare or replacement.
